How do you view the role of technology in education?
Education has a major rule in the education system that can influences the teacher and student, in a big way that can help the student have an 80 to 90 or higher. The resources through technology we use can help make that student who is stuck and lost, fully understand and get the concept. If a student needs a little more helping on fully grasping the topic a video or game online can help the student understand in a new way that the teacher was not able to explain in a way that the student can understand.
ii. How has technology impacted your own learning as a student?
Technology has given me the opportunity to succeed in a new way that I can turn in quizzes online, play educational games, I just found Google Slides and how it has the ability to let everyone work on the same presentation and not one person open it and add what they want and save it then if a different person was accidentally working on the same slide and changed or deleted something. Google Slides gives all the party access in real time and saves instantaneously. Google Slides has given the access to let a group assignment become easy and more bearable especially since you can see what each person is working on in real time.
iii. How do you plan to use technology in your teaching? Be specific about the grade level, content area, who, why, when, and how to use technology.
The future generation that I will be teaching has access to technology since they were extremely young. I am hoping to teach 2nd grade and hopefully the student will know the basic use of a computer or desktop and if the school has enough money they may have tablets. If the student do not know how to navigate how to use the desktop and tablet teach them how to type and use a mouse. The student can use istation and abcmouse. These systems can help the students learn a variety of subjects from math, reading and writing as well as science. They can do the activities in the morning as well as when they have time when they finish their work.
